Policies for Weddings & Events
RESERVATIONS / DEPOSITS
Reservations for The Lookout Lodge will be accepted on a “first-come, first served” basis by written agreement and accompanied by a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of part of the rental fee. The remaining balance of fees are paid via equal monthly payments and then final payment plus a Damage Deposit is due two (2) months prior to scheduled event.
ALCOHOL
Only beer, wine and champagne may be served and consumed on the premises. A Banquet Permit must be obtained two (2) months prior to your event from the Washington State Liquor Control Board (www.liq.wa.gov/licensing/banquet-permits). All alcohol must be dispensed by our preferred caterer’s licensed bartender who carries the proper liability insurance or our preferred bartending services. Self-serve is not allowed and no guest or invitee may serve alcohol.
We *may* allow specialty drinks on a case-by-case basis, but these are limited to two (2) and can only be served during cocktail hour. Your event insurance, banquet permit and bartender’s insurance must reflect this if we allow it for your event.
If you choose to use a non-preferred caterer or bartender, they will be invoiced a $200 refundable cleaning fee. This is to be paid by the vendor, not the clients. Please note that we do have a “Not allowed at the Venue” list, so you must approve your caterer and bartender with us prior to hiring.
Vendors/staff (including friend vendors) are not allowed to consume any alcohol at The Lookout Lodge.
DOGS
The Lookout Lodge does allow dogs on the premises, but they must have someone assigned to be in charge of them, and must be cleaned up after immediately. We do also ask that your dog leave the premises following ceremony/photos.
SPARKLERS
The Lookout Lodge does allow sparklers for exits, as long as there is no Snohomish County Burn Ban in place at the time of the event. We can discuss this with you further if you’re planning to do this.
MUSIC
Music must be kept to an appropriate volume and must end at least one (1) hour prior to your contractual end time.

The Lookout Lodge has a list of preferred caterers that we highly recommend you use. They have a variety of services and menus for you to choose from. All of the caterers we recommend are professional, certified, have all current permits and licenses to work at your event. Some also have additional services that they provide and bartending available on request. We do NOT have a commercial kitchen on site.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Applicant must notify The Lookout Lodge in writing of a cancellation. Please note that any deposits, retainers or fees once paid are not refunded at any time. Once the balance of your rental agreement has been paid, the only refund made is a return of damage deposit, if said event never occurs. All other funds including but not limited to base rate, wedding and event specialist fee, rental fees or misc. fees, once paid, are non-refundable.
