Here at The Lookout Lodge, we bring with us over 15 years experience in hosting and working weddings. Our expertise has given us incredible insight, allowing us to build our grounds and the flow of our Snohomish Wedding Venue to create the ideal wedding day experience.

We are situated in a suburb of Snohomish called Machias. This small town whisks you away into the forest and boasts incredible mountain views that we’ve taken full advantage of. From the ceremony space views of the Cascades to the backyard views of the Olympics, Lake Stevens and the Puget Sound, you cannot get a better Pacific Northwest Wedding Oasis than The Lookout Lodge.

We’re going to take you on a written & photographic tour (so many photos!) of what we consider to be the best Snohomish Wedding Venue, The Lookout Lodge.

Our getting ready areas offer ample room for your wedding party and closest family to spend time with you as you prepare for your wedding day. They’re styled in a clean bohemian lodge vibe, and make a beautiful space for your getting ready photos. You have access to these spaces from 10am to 10pm – which can be great if you have a grandparent that needs a warm space to sit, or just to make sure your wedding party can keep their things somewhere secure throughout the party.

You’ll likely wind yourself through the back gardens to a private area for your first look, and then explore the grounds with your wedding party for photos. There’s laughter and memories of all the times you’ve spent together getting to this moment.

This Snohomish wedding venue has multiple spaces with fantastic light on it’s 5 acre property for you and your photographer to create photos you’ll love for your entire life.

The ceremony space has permanent log bench seating and an amazing wood trellis that frames in the mountains and trees and frames in the backdrop for your wedding vows. You’re surrounded by the smells of the tall evergreens & cedars, the fresh grass, lush gardens, and the sounds of birds chirping and the wind singing through the trees. No matter how warm of a day, we always have a slight breeze as we sit nestled on a hill in the convergence zone of the Cascades.

Imagine with us – you stand near the Lodge steps, looking out to the amphitheater below that is filled with your closest friends, family and the love of your life, and take a deep breath. You can smell the flowers surrounding you, and everything feels perfect. You’re about to take what will feel like both the longest & shortest walk ever.

You stand now under the wood trellis, holding the hands of your life partner, and everything else has melted around you. You’re the only ones here, in this moment, laughing, smiling, and crying together as you make your commitments to each-other. You share your traditions, place rings, and kiss – officially married. And it all happened where so many of your favorite moments together have happened: in the woods.

The reception tented area is built for the flow of your event. Separate bar, dancing & catering spaces allow people to spread out and enjoy themselves with as much or little involvement as they want. The tables are beautiful with your custom centerpieces and flowers, the lights in the tent dance like fireflies, and there is laughter and smiles from every corner while the dancing spills from under the dancing tent and out into the night air. You share joy, food, drinks, and love with your favorite people, making more memories in your favorite place to be: nature.

The yard has great spots for our yard games (Giant Jenga, Connect4, and Ladderball) and multiple fire pits and lounge areas to mingle and spend time together. Your wedding party will probably spend a good part of the morning here, creating memories. Throughout the evening, guests will find quiet spots to enjoy their beverages, warm up by the fire pit, or pull out their competitive side with a yard game or two (that Giant Jenga creates some hilarious moments!)

Your Snohomish wedding venue rental is 13 hours – 10am to 11pm. Plenty of time to decorate and have a relaxing day without feeling cramped for time. It also includes our permanent tents, round and rectangle tables, chairs (for up to 200), and full use of our ever-growing decor closet, yard games, fire pits, lounge seating and propane heaters. There is a permanent bar space and prep area for your catering. You just bring in the linens, floral, specialty decor (we can recommend some incredible vendors), serve and dishware, and nearly any vendor you’d like (licensed & insured, of course – and we do have a few more guidelines on bartending & catering vendors). We allow bubbles, smoke bombs, specialty car/vehicle exits, pets & sparklers (read our policies page for more info).

The grounds at The Lookout Lodge are stunning – landscaped and manicured with thoughtfulness towards not only the backdrop of your event but the photographic elements of your lifelong memories. We’ve consulted and worked with photographers to make sure there are spaces that are easily accessible and fully shaded for group portraits (and especially if there are mobility considerations), and amazing PNW spots for your couple portraits so that you will forever remember the perfection of your woodland wedding. We will share some of our favorite nooks and crannies with you during your venue tour so you can see them for yourself.

As of 2022, we have new ownership and there are many incredible enhancements coming to the grounds over the next few seasons – we can’t wait to share them with you as they’re completed!
